Job Title: Assistant Publicist (Filmed Entertainment Division)
Location: London (hybrid)
Overview: We’re looking for a sharp, organised and culture-obsessed new starter to join Premier’s Filmed Entertainment Division, supporting campaigns across television, film and streaming. From high-profile series launches and red-carpet premieres to new platform rollouts and blockbuster home-entertainment releases, you’ll support the team with planning, research and coverage reporting, all while gaining hands-on experience in how major entertainment moments come together behind the scenes.
Whether you’re taking your first step into PR or building on early experience, what matters most is strong organisation, curiosity and a genuine love of TV and film.
This is a full-time role based in Premier’s London office (we operate hybrid/home working).
Role Summary: Reporting to the Director, you will provide essential support across campaigns spanning TV, film and streaming. You’ll help draft and distribute press materials, manage assets and media lists, track coverage, and assist at premieres, screenings and press and influencer events.
You’ll work alongside a dynamic team delivering campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest entertainment brands, learning fast, contributing ideas and developing the skills to grow into a confident publicist.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of your team’s projects
Support delivery of publicity campaigns across TV, film and streaming projects
Monitor, log and compile coverage for client reports
Maintain and update media and influencer target databases
Draft and issue press materials, managing responses and enquiries with guidance
Research and draft copy for briefing notes, features and pitches as briefed
Place and distribute assets such as trailers, clips and stills with media and creators
Coordinate event logistics including invitations, RSVPs, guest lists and on-the-ground support at premieres, screenings, press nights and influencer events
Build knowledge of media and influencer landscapes and begin developing your own relationships
Office Support (as needed):
Book couriers and travel for staff, media, talent and influencers
Prepare meeting rooms and greet clients/talent
Help maintain an organised team workspace
Company-wide:
Follow Premier systems and processes and support colleagues across teams where required
Essential Experience & Attributes:
Sharp, organised and culture obsessed. You should keep up with what everyone is watching and talking about across all forms of media.
Strong writing and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proactive and dependable, with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
Calm and professional under pressure, even when deadlines shift.
Team-focused, positive and collaborative.
Confident communicator and comfortable representing Premier and our clients.
Nice-to-haves (not essential):
Experience in a creative, entertainment or media environment such as student media, societies, events, internships.
Understanding of publicity assets and social media platforms.
Awareness of the UK entertainment and media landscape.
This is a permanent full-time role with working hours of 9.30am-6.00pm on weekdays, with occasional out of hours working essential, and 25 days holiday per annum (plus all public holidays).
