ACCOUNT MANAGER, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS
FILMED ENTERTAINMENT
Premier is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our growing Corporate Communications team within Filmed Entertainment.
Working across an expanding portfolio of production companies, studios, distributors, broadcasters and organisations operating across the UK and international screen industries, we’re looking for someone who combines strong corporate communications and media relations instincts with excellent account management skills.
This is a role for someone who is ready to take genuine ownership. You’ll manage a portfolio of corporate clients and workstreams, driving activity day-to-day, building strong client relationships and ensuring great ideas turn into excellent delivery.
You’ll work closely with senior members of the corporate team, while having the confidence and experience to run accounts independently, identify opportunities, manage priorities and know when senior counsel is needed.
The role
You’ll be responsible for:
Managing a portfolio of retained and project-based corporate communications accounts across film, television and the wider screen industries.
Taking day-to-day ownership of client relationships, becoming a trusted and reliable point of contact.
Driving account activity and ensuring agreed strategies and plans are translated into clear actions and excellent delivery.
Developing a strong understanding of clients’ businesses, ambitions and priorities and identifying relevant communications opportunities.
Developing corporate stories, announcements, messaging, executive profiling and thought-leadership opportunities.
Proactively identifying media opportunities beyond the traditional news cycle and bringing ideas to clients rather than waiting for briefs.
Drafting high-quality press releases, pitches, briefing materials, messaging, thought-leadership content and other corporate communications materials.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with entertainment, media and relevant business journalists.
Leading proactive media outreach and confidently pitching stories and opportunities.
Keeping abreast of the issues, trends and conversations shaping the film and television industries and bringing relevant intelligence back to clients and the wider team.
Managing account priorities, deadlines and resource effectively, anticipating pressure points and escalating where appropriate.
Briefing and delegating effectively to junior colleagues, while retaining ownership of quality and delivery.
Supporting the development of junior team members and creating opportunities for them to take increasing responsibility.
Working collaboratively across Premier’s Film, Television, Awards, Festivals & Markets and international teams.
Supporting new business opportunities, pitches and the organic growth of existing clients.
About you
We’re looking for someone with solid communications experience, ideally gained within an agency or the film, television, media or wider entertainment industries. You’ll already be comfortable managing accounts and client relationships and will be looking for a role where you can take greater ownership within a growing corporate communications team.
You’ll ideally bring:
Experience managing corporate communications, PR or media accounts and workstreams.
A strong interest in and understanding of the film, television and wider screen industries.
Confidence managing clients and taking responsibility for day-to-day account delivery.
Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities and deadlines without needing close supervision.
Strong writing skills and the ability to turn business information into clear, compelling communications.
Good media relations skills and relationships across entertainment, media and/or business press.
An instinct for what makes a story and the confidence to proactively identify and pitch opportunities.
The ability to take a brief, understand what needs to happen next and drive it forward independently.
Strong attention to detail and consistently high standards of delivery.
Good judgement, including knowing when to make a decision independently and when senior input is needed.
Experience briefing or supporting junior colleagues.
A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
The opportunity
Premier’s corporate communications team is growing, with an expanding portfolio spanning production, broadcasting, distribution and the wider UK and international screen industries.
This is an opportunity to join at an exciting point in that growth, taking real ownership of clients and campaigns while working alongside and learning from experienced corporate communications specialists.
This is a Hybrid working position with nominally three days per week in the office and can be based from our London or Manchester offices.
