Reporting to: Director of Social and Content, Premier

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 09.00 – 5.30pm (weekdays) with 3 days per week required in central London office. Occasional out of hours work essential.

Holiday: 20 days (plus public holidays)

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a digital native to develop their career in the classical music industry, supporting the delivery of digital strategies for a range of world-class orchestras, festivals, venues, individual artists and high-profile projects, as part of the Premier Arts & Culture team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to further develop their digital skills and gain valuable experience and insight into the arts industry, primarily in classical music.

The successful candidate will feel at home in our fast-paced and dynamic department with a reputation for a top-level client list, strong teamwork and excellent delivery for its clients. There will be opportunities to be directly involved in projects, attend performances and events and get on-the-job training with senior social media professionals. A keen interest in the latest digital trends and a passion for classical music is paramount to the position as it will feed directly into the service we provide for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

-              1 year professional or volunteer experience in a Social Media, Digital Marketing or Communications role

-              Experience publishing content on social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok

-              Experience with video content capture for Instagram reels, TikTok or YouTube Shorts

-              Photo and video editing skills on Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut or similar

-              Confidence and fluency in writing about classical music  

-              Ability to prioritise workload with many moving parts

-              Ability to brainstorm creative content ideas

-              Computer literate including word processing, databases and spread sheets

-              Meticulous attention to detail

-              Ability to work alone and as part of a team

-              A keen interest in the performing arts, particularly Classical Music

-              Excellent communication skills, both written and in-person

Primary tasks and activities

-              Creating and maintaining multiple content calendars

-              Planning, editing and scheduling video and photo posts across multiple mediums

-              Drafting social media copy

-              Monitoring trends across social media platforms

-              Community management via a social media management tool

-              Digital audits of online profiles

-              Creating asset templates and tone of voice guidelines for clients

-              Preparing pitch decks for new client opportunities

-              Cataloguing photo and video content

-              Maintaining a social media database
